Tick Control Alerts

Nesco is a tiny community in Mullica Township, but it has a big reputation. It was the hideout of Joe Mulliner, a revolutionary hero known as ‘The Robin Hood of the Pines’ and Joe’s name is still remember there to this day.

Centuries later, Nesco is a beautiful and rural town, with historic homes that enjoy large gardens, surrounded by greenary. However, the town has a higher-than-average incidence of tick bites and Lyme disease due to a number of reasons.

Primary amongst those is the abundance of wildlife in the area. Because Nesco is surrounded by such rural splendor, it’s home to a large number of wild deer; and as they migrate through people’s yards and gardens, they’ll often deposite Lyme-infected ticks that can later pose a risk to children and pets.
